Following Our Dream

Fifth Graders read about Maria Tall Chief and John Beargrease. Each student identified two qualities that these two individuals possess that helped them to follow their dream. Some qualities were: practicing before and after school; never quitting; willing to do a dangerous job; thinking of others first; bravery; and willing to sacrifice some things to gain others. Then each student wrote down two qualities about themselves that they feel will help them to follow their dream. Fifth grade is not too young to realize how important our choices are.
