I have to confess failure on two fronts when it comes to this blog. First, my form of communication is mainly on Facebook - the whole blogging thing just hasn't caught on for me personally. It is lots of pontificating and I am doing enough of that on Facebook!
As a teacher, I decided to change my blog over to a student blog. Several issues came up and have not been completely resolved:
we have to change our permission papers for students to "blog"; getting teachers on board has been tough; the school's filter only allows us to view the blog which means I have to type in all changes from home; our podcast couldn't be posted due to problems with the server; and that is just the beginning of my trials and travails!! :) Perhaps this 2nd round of online learning was just the break I needed from my unsuccessful attempt. I hope to be excited and ready to try again with all kinds of new activities for students when I finish this. My new layout is really blue. I hope to find a newer, skinnier me for my avatar!!!

Glad you decided to join us again. I'm sorry to hear of your obstacles in using these social media tools with students. Hope you'll take some inspiration and hope away as a result of participation here. Blue is a soothing color, and I like the look, not to mention that it will be easy to read (I really have trouble with those dark backgrounds or very busy patterns.)
