Detour
I am taking a quick break from the "things" to talk up the Nett Lake students! My friend, Sharon, challenged the students to a reading contest in the month of March. If the entire school, K-6, met her challenge, she would get a mo hawk! The kids here more than met the challenge and read like crazy the entire month! All books read had to be at the student's reading level. Different classes had different goals but, in the end, all grades met the challenge. The book total for K-6 was 259 books!!! Consequently, another friend of mine came up to Nett and gave Sharon her first mo hawk in front of the entire student body. It was a fun Friday afternoon. Thanks to Sharon for being such a great encourager for the kids and congrats to all of the fantastic readers at Nett Lake Elementary School!!!
